About

COL-Aeglia is a globally operating and independent institute for occupational eye measurement, working from out the Netherlands.

We focus on colour deficiency for commercial pilots and air traffic controllers, as well as glare, scatter light, and eye tracking, by utilizing our AVOT test portfolio.

About Gerrie Oosthuizen

Together with Dorothee Joppe and Bert Kramer he is one of the founders and owners of COL-Aeglia.

About Dorothee Joppe

Dorothee Joppe, born in Wertheim, Germany, studied Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium, and Amsterdam at the Vrije Universiteit. She became a neuropsychiatrist, and after passing the ECFMG (American Medical examination for foreigners), she conducted research in New York in the field of neuropathology at Brown's Medical School. As an AME (Aviation Medical Examiner) and holder of a PPL (Private Pilot License), she served as the founder and director of Aeglia Aeronautical Medical Center from 2013 until 2023. Together with Bert Kramer and Gerrie Oosterhuizen she is one of the founders and owners of COL-Aeglia.

About Bert Kramer

He has a background in electronic engineering and has experience in marketing and sales at a large US computer company. Additionally, he owned his own flight school in the Netherlands, based at Lelystad Airport. He worked as a flight instructor and examiner. Furthermore, he was the co-owner of Aeglia Aeromedical Centre, an organization that conducts medical examinations for commercial and private pilots to obtain their medical certificates. Together with Dorothee Joppe and Gerrie Oosthuizen he is one of the founders and owners of COL-Aeglia.
